Kids : Sunday : UpStreet

On UpStreet, we believe that the Bible should never be boring, that worship can be really loud and fun, and that good leaders always care!

Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure that these three things stick...
1.  I need to make the WISE choice.
2.  I can TRUST God no matter what.
3.  I should TREAT OTHERS the way I want to be treated.
The focus on UpStreet is our small group environment.  We want kids to see how God's Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendship that will last.  That's why it's important that your child connects with the same friends, same leaders, at the same hour...every Sunday!

Sunday Morning at a Glance
UpStreet takes place during the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services.  Doors open 20 minutes before each service time.  Here's what a typical Sunday looks like on UpStreet.

  1. Plug In - Kids participate with their small group in activities meant to introduce the Bottom Line we want them to walk away with that week.
  2. Power Up - Ten minutes into the hour, kids travel to a large group worship environment where the message and Bible story come to life through music, drama, and storytelling.
  3. Catch On - After large group, kids travel back to their classrooms where their leaders help them understand how the day's Bottom Line can fit into their every day lives.

UpStreet Curriculum
We use 252Basics curriculum for K-5th graders.  Based on Luke 2:52, the curriculum is built around these Three Basic Truths:
WISDOM:  "I need to make the wise choice."
FAITH: "I can trust God no matter what."
FRIENDSHIP:  "I should treat others the way I want to be treated."

The Three Basic Truths are amplified through 150 Bible stories, 36 monthly virtues (Kindness, Responsibility, Generosity, Faith, etc.) referred to as that month's "Virtue Word," and a weekly Bottom Line, all designed to help kids learn how to apply God's Word to their every day lives.
