Welcome to the Southside Church Leadership Development Program (LDP) info page! The 2011 LDP program is a 10-month (Fall and Spring semesters) leadership journey for college students who are looking to leverage their lives to impact others and grow as leaders. The LDP combines hands-on experience in a key area of ministry at Southside with practical leadership training and valuable life experiences. As a member of LDP you are a part of Southside internship program. It is your opportunity to make a difference in the ministries at Southside while learning valuable leadership skills along the way. Each LDP associate is expected to help lead a specific area of ministry and participate in the LDP leadership training course activities. It’s not just a job with a fancy name. It’s not just an internship. It’s a catalyst for your future and an opportunity that utilizes your gifting, impacts your heart, and challenges your leadership potential. Are you ready?

Q&A:

Who is it for? LDP is designed for young leaders who desire to grow and be challenged in a work environment. The LDP is not only for people who want to “go into ministry” – it is also open to anyone looking for a leadership challenge. We are looking for and expecting the best of the best. We want to hire sharp, fun, caring, responsible individuals who have ambition and take initiative. Do you have what it takes to be an LDP intern?

Commitment: The LDP is a 10-month commitment beginning in August 2011 and ending in April 2012. Each LDP intern is expected to work up to 12 hours per week, with the majority of the hours occurring on Sunday. Office hours will be worked out according to your semester schedule. LDP’s will also attend leadership training’s on designated Sunday afternoons.

Can I speak to someone about this first? Yes of course! We will have two informational meetings each year in May. You may also e-mail our coordinator for any questions throughout the rest of the year.

Application: If you are interested in the Leadership Development Program, please submit an application here. The deadline to submit an application for the 2011-2012 program is June 12, 2011.
