1 John 3:18 says, “let’s not merely say that we love each other, let us show the truth with our actions.”

As a Church, we believe God wants us to INTERSECT with the lives of those who are in need and living in less fortunate circumstances.

We are sometimes asked about our involvement in the community. For example, we might hear, “What does Southside Church do for families in need?” Or, “How is Southside involved in caring for the homeless?” These are great questions.

We made a decision not to replicate ministries that are already doing an excellent job meeting specific needs in our community. Instead, we have chosen to INTERSECT by investing human and financial resources into a handful of organizations that are doing a far better job within their spheres of influence than we could ever do. Below you will find our current list of what we refer to as Compassion Ministries.
