Q. Why build the addition?
A. It will allow for Southside and Landmark to share the space more effectively and efficiently. It will allow us to create better and more relevant environments for Sunday mornings.
 
Q. Are Landmark Christian School and Southside the same organizations or affiliated?
A. No, LCS is a totally separate organization and is not affiliated in any way to Southside Church.
 
Q. Will LCS pay rent monthly to use the facility?
A. Yes
 
Q. What improvements to the current building will be done?
A. The financial priority is securing the property and building. As we see that it is financially viable, we will do things such as buy new chairs for the auditorium, renovate bathrooms, decorate the children's and student's environments, etc...
 
Q. What is the $80,000 for Church planting go towards?
A. When we started Southside, we took a loan from the North Point Strategic Partner Fund that is designated for planting more Churches like Southside. This amount will pay off that loan to this fund.
 
Q. When do commitments start?
A. We begin giving toward our commitments on Sunday, January 27, 2008.
 
Q. What thought processes should go into making a commitment?

Q. Will I have the opportunity to revise my commitment?
A. Yes, you may revise your commitment, either up or down, at any time during the three-year giving period.
 
Q. Will I be asked for a commitment publicly?
A. No, nor will your individual commitment be announced.
 
Q. How do we make our gifts?
A. You should fill out a commitment card and any donations can be designated on the memo of your check. Stock gifts or other appreciated assets can be directed to our Administrator, Brian Smith. He can be reached at bsmith@southside.org.
 
Q. How is this giving different from tithing?
A. This sacrificial giving is an offering over and above your tithe.
 
Q. Do you think God will help me meet a commitment that right now seems beyond my means?
A. Just as surely as He helps us in any other area of life, it is to grow our faith. Remember, where God leads, God also provides!
 
Q. Can we make a family commitment?
A. Yes
 
Q. Can I give toward my commitment once a year- or every three months?
A. Yes, however, most of us find it easier to keep up week-by-week, or at least monthly.
