Success at Southside is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our large environments into small groups.
At Southside, the small group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a small group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.
Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That's why we place such a high premium on group life. It's how we minister effectively at Southside.
Community groups, what are they? They are made up of five to six couples or five to eight individuals and are the place where people are personally encouraged and challenged in their relationship with God and each other.
GroupLink GroupLink is an event where you will connect with others and form a Community Group. Community Groups are small groups of six married couples or eight individual of the same gender that meet weekly in someone's home for fellowship, Bible study, prayer.
Starting Point is a conversational environment where people can explore faith and experience community. The format is a 10-week small group designed for those who are curious about Christianity, new Christians, and those coming back to church after being away for a while.
